Getting Here

Travel & stay

We've put together a couple of room block options below. Both are right in the heart of the city, equidistant from the welcome party and wedding venue, but feel free to stay wherever works best for you.

The Carpenter Hotel
400 Josephine St, Austin, TX 78704
Tucked under pecan trees at the edge of Zilker Park, this boutique hotel is full of character. Madeline and Jake will be staying here, too. Our block here is limited, so we encourage booking early.
Book Your Room β†’
Embassy Suites South Congress
300 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704
A more traditional hotel experience with spacious suites at a different price point. It's also just steps from the Congress Avenue Bridge, home to the famous colony of Mexican free-tailed bats.
Book Your Room β†’
Flying In? Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is your closest airport. Rideshares are widely available. Book early because Austin fills up fast on spring weekends!
Getting Around We'll be providing transportation to and from the wedding from the hotels, so no car is needed on the big day. For the rest of the weekend, rideshares are an easy way to get around town. Rental cars are also available at the airport if you'd like to explore beyond the city.

Questions

FAQ

Please RSVP by February 1, 2027 so we can get final counts to our vendors. If something comes up after that, reach out to us directly by text or at mad.jake.wedding@gmail.com.
May in Austin is warm and gorgeous. Expect highs around 85Β°F during the day and comfortable evenings around 65–70Β°F. The ceremony and reception are outdoors, so light layers for the evening aren't a bad idea. And yes, there's always a small chance of a Texas spring shower!
Garden formal for the wedding and dressy casual for the welcome party. For both, we're celebrating in full color. Wear your most vibrant outfit and favorite patterns. Think florals, prints, and anything that makes you feel festive.
Please check your invitation to see if a plus one is included. If you're not sure, feel free to reach out to us directly.
Absolutely! Please note any dietary restrictions or allergies in your RSVP and we'll make sure you're taken care of. When in doubt, reach out to us directly.
Please plan to arrive by 5:30 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Give yourself a little extra time for traffic and a short walk from the parking lot.
Yes! Free parking is available on site at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Rideshares are also a great option if you plan to celebrate with a drink or two.
Nope, not planning on it! Same names, just officially a team now.

Went out west
We took a road trip with Madeline's family to Big Bend National Park in West Texas and crossed the border into Boquillas del Carmen on "well-trained" donkeys.
